Which cookies we use
Our website keeps strictly necessary cookies always active, including the bmg_consent cookie that stores your choices. Two independent optional categories are off by default: tracking / external media enables the MarineTraffic AIS map, while anonymous performance measurement enables Vercel Speed Insights Web Vitals reporting.
Third-party cookies
The AIS vessel-tracking feature uses MarineTraffic (Kpler) and loads only after tracking / external-media consent; MarineTraffic may then set third-party cookies and process technical data such as your IP address abroad. Vercel Speed Insights loads only after separate performance-measurement consent and records anonymous Web Vitals data that is not tied to an individual visitor or IP address. URL query parameters and fragments are removed before sending.
How to manage your cookie preferences
You can reopen and change each consent choice at any time through the "Cookie Settings" link in every page footer. Turning off tracking prevents the MarineTraffic map, iframe, and related requests from loading. Turning off performance measurement blocks subsequent Speed Insights data points. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.
